Backing those who back young people (19).png

create opportunities
that last a lifetime
.

Businesses have a vital role to play in helping Merton's young people thrive.

At Young Merton, we connect you with the organisations and young people who can benefit most from what you have to offer. Whether you have an opportunity, a skill, a space, a network, an idea or simply a desire to challenge the status quo, we can help you find the right partners, understand local need and turn what you have into meaningful opportunities for young people.

We know there is no one-size-fits-all model. The best partnerships start with identifying what matters to you and building  something meaningful around it - whether that’s developing your social impact, investing in future talent, strengthening your local community or creating opportunities that genuinely change young lives.

So tell us what you have to offer and what you'd like to achieve. Let’s work out what we can build together.

Work at Wimbledon Young Merton.jfif

More than 50 young people from Merton secured paid employment at The Championships through the Wimbledon Foundation's partnership with Motivate Merton.

Young Merton's members helped identify and prepare young people for the opportunity, supporting them from referral through to interview and employment.

The result? Local talent connected to a world-class employer - and young people gaining income, experience, confidence and a pathway into sustained work.

We partnered with the RSPB and Cameron Bespolka Trust to give 25 young people from three member organisations a completely free residential at their 1000-acre Cameron's Cottage property in the New Forest.

With the RSPB bringing its expertise, the Trust removing the financial barriers and Young Merton connecting the opportunity to local organisations, young people experienced seven nights of nature, adventure, new friendships and new skills - then took what they learned home to inspire social action in their own communities.
